Working gal

I apologize for my abrupt departure from my blog, for those of you that read it. I recently got a job working as a bookkeeper for a local Livestock Supply business. I have enjoyed it very much and am still adjusting to the long hours of work that is required of me. For those of you who may not know, I was a stay at home mom ever since the birth of my 3 year old twin boys. After almost 4 years of being confined to the walls of my house, I decided that I had had enough and needed to be where I can interact socially with adults. Don’t get me wrong, I loved being home and watching my boys grow up but I think this move will be great for them in two ways. First of all, all they know is me and hubby and family. I think its time for the boys to be around kids their own age and start being more independent and detached from me and also from each other. And my second point would be, that they would start extending their vocabulary and really be able to have a conversation with me instead of broken sentences that I would have to piece together to really fully understand what story they are trying to tell me. I am so delighted to see the transformation in them and am looking optimistically into the future.

Great discovery!

Wanted to post something great and exciting that I learned and actually works.

I sat on a tailgate a few weeks back and didn’t know I hat landed my butt in some grease. The kind that lubes up mechanical devices. Anyhow, my first instinct was,” eww grosss!” then panic set in as to how I would get it out cause I was wearing some new jeans that I had just bought a few days prior.

I called my mother-in-law, who knows just about anything as far as homemaking and just old wives-tell secrets and many other things. Very informative. She told me to put regular Dawn ( the dish soap) right onto the stain and rub it in then let it set for about 30 minutes. Longer if need be. Then, you go ahead and launder as usual with other clothes .

In my amazement it actually worked!  Now I do it for everything. Even the shirts that caught the food that completely missed my mouth but yet after washing about 5 times you can still see grease or oil mark.  I have not yet tried it on Spaghetti sauce or wine stains but am eager to know if it works.
