I am back

Well I havent been on here to update as to how my progress is going but I have managed to lose 11 pounds since Sept.28th. I no longer crave all the sugary foods that I once did and find myself not snacking between meals like I use to. I still have yet to measure myself to see how many inches i have lost but i will do that within the next few days!

I have been getting ready for Winter by raking my yard that is full of tree branches when we have strong winds from a couple of weeks ago. We have about 2 acres of yard so that left my arms sore when I finally went to bed saturday night.Now all I have to do is go and pick up my piles of sticks and branches with the ranger and I will be finished for the year.

Sickness coming on

Today i am feeling a bit under the weather but I am having to get up and cook dinner for the family. I think I will make hamburgers and call it good. I have no energy what so ever. I have been eating good and staying within my 20g net carb intake for the day. i must admit that i have been eating sugar free jello and it sure does satisfy my sweet tooth cravings for the meantime. I am wanting to find a chocolate dessert recipe that is low carb that I can enjoy. I tried making a chocolate mousse with cocoa powder and heaving cream but substituted the sugar for splenda and gross. Its a good thing that I only made a small amount since I threw it into the trash.

Hopefully tomorrow I will be feeling like myself and have more to say.  Goodnight all!

Journey to Shed

Ok, so it is no secret that I am one of those people in this world that is overweight and is trying to shed those pounds. It is extremely hard when I have a 6′ 3″ husband that weighs 195 lbs  and 3 boys who can all eat junk food by the way. So of course those Little Debbie snacks that are just lying around, sometimes calls for me and I cave in.  Blah… Of course this is no excuse for my bad eating habits but I is something that I battle with every single day.

So anyways, I started the Atkins Low Carb diet this past Friday and so far I am down 6 lbs! I am so thrilled that I have stayed on the plan perfectly. Well minus Saturday and yesterday when I had a little square piece of my mother in laws chocolate zucchini cake, which is a big no no.  OMG it is to die for I tell ya. I figured I might as well eat a damn piece instead of drool over the thing and get it over with.

If anyone who reads this is on the same boat as I am, please feel free to add your stories. Good or bad I really dont care.I just want to hear what has worked and what hasn’t.

Salutations!

While I have had this blog for a few years, I decided to wipe it clean and start fresh. It was one of those moments when you think to yourself, ” What was I thinking?” Just like when you go back through your high school yearbook and laugh at the dorky clothing that you were wearing or even better at the awesome hairdo that took you forever to get right.  Or maybe its just because your views changed and you don’t want to be reminded of  when you wrong the whole entire time, even though you fought hard to be right. Anyways, I am back with a new version of myself and wish to express and share what truly is important to me. So, sit back, relax and grab a drink ( Your choice of beverage!) You just might possibly learn a thing or two from me or you might just have a good chuckle on my account.  Cheers!
